As the Head of IT Services and Operations, you will be responsible for the day to day management of Scandit’s global IT services and operations function, as well as setting its strategic direction. You will oversee our internal IT infrastructure and processes, making sure that our applications (mostly cloud-hosted), communication infrastructure and hardware are serving our business’ needs. In the highly dynamic, growth-oriented environment that our global scaleup company represents, you are constantly looking to improve the status quo - through leaner processes, better tools, faster turnaround times and better alignment with internal users. You assume overall responsibility for Scandit’s IT infrastructure, including information security topics and maintaining excellent service levels.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and manage Scandit’s internal IT applications (e.g., Google Suite)
  • Liaise with stakeholders in different departments to provide pragmatic solutions to their day-to-day IT needs
  • Develop, implement, communicate and maintain operational IT processes, including change management, incident and problem management
  • Define, execute and monitor information security program, including topics such as information security reviews, access control policies, disaster recovery plans, etc.
  • Oversee helpdesk and support services provided to both end users and application managers
  • Take ownership of all IT governance, standards and processes
  • Evaluate and introduce new productivity tools or management systems (such as mobile device management), stay abreast of technology developments
  • Define hardware procurement policies
  • Manage 3rd party service providers and negotiate contracts with vendors
  • Support sales in closing deals that involve information security assessments and reviews
  • Prepare, plan and execute IT trainings, both during onboarding of new team members and on an ongoing basis

Who You Are

  • You have several years of experience in a similar role (including project planning and management)
  • You have a solid understanding of best practices around securing IT infrastructures, compliance and governance, as well as related technologies, standards and regulations
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, computer science or a related field
  • You have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • You are able to clearly structure and communicate processes and problems
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and are a relationship builder
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid growth
  • You have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
