What you will be doing day to day
Making effective matches between Supply and Demand, and creating efficiency gains through grouping/routing shipments is the key to Ontruck’s USP. Manual processes, lack of information and traditional business practices mean that many of the matches in the industry are sub-optimal in today’s road freight world. This results in empty mileage, wasted time and environmental costs. Our Fleet Analysts are at the front line of changing this dynamic, with full responsibility for matching supply/demand, managing the Ontruck fleet of carriers and making sure we provide great value to both shippers (demand) and carriers (supply). As such, you are the driving force of Ontruck’s operations and therewith our growth engine. In this role, you will:
Plan and assign routes on a daily basis, thereby making sure that all of our clients' shipments are assigned to the right carrier while maintaining the highest service level
Collaborate with the Customer Service and Supply team to ensure customer´s demand can be adequately covered
Feel direct responsibility over quantitative and qualitative KPIs linked to the activity and level of satisfaction of shippers
Switch between developing strategic objectives and striving for operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives
Have significant autonomy to organize your tasks and processes in order to meet your goals
Be monitored and rewarded exclusively according to your performance
Reporting to: Head of Operations
At least 1 year work experience in either: consulting, investment banking, operations, business analytics, customer retention, and/or project and team management
Excellent business judgement and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data to quickly establish priorities and develop a strategy to deliver them
Comfortable to work under time pressure
Experience and mindset in optimizing and automating scaling operational processes
Native fluency in spoken and written Dutch, fluency in English. Other additional languages are highly valued.
Startup/Tech experience preferred
