The Information Security department enables security across Pipedrive. Our team's knowledge is both broad and deep in the areas of cyber, information security, risk, compliance, and training. InfoSec identifies security issues and assists efforts till resolution.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources
  • Assist in assessing the impact of implementing and sustaining a dedicated cyber defense infrastructure
  • Build, install, configure, and test dedicated cyber defense hardware
  • Correlate incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations that enable expeditious remediation
  • Monitor external data sources (e.g., cyber defense vendor sites, Computer Emergency Response Teams, Security Focus) to maintain currency of cyber defense threat condition and determine which security issues may have an impact on the enterprise
  • Perform analysis of log files from a variety of sources (e.g., individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, and intrusion detection system [IDS] logs) to identify possible threats to network security
  • Perform event correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the company to gain situational awareness and determine the effectiveness of an observed attack
  • Coordinate incident response functions
  • Perform cyber defense incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identifying the specific vulnerability; and making recommendations that enable fast remediation
  • Receive and analyze alerts from various sources within the company and determine possible causes of such alerts
  • Track and document cyber defense incidents from initial detection through final resolution
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve computer security incidents and vulnerability compliance

You should have:

  • 2+ years experience as a System Admin, Network Admin, or Developer
  • Skills in recognizing vulnerabilities in systems
  • Knowledge of Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) tools and applications
  • Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation)
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies
  • Experience with application penetration testing above basic level
  • The ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • The ability to perform well even if facing ambiguity or constant changes
  • The ability to communicate efficiently
  • Capability to have security conversations suitable for an audience with varying degrees of expertise
  • Readiness to solve single problems quickly but always looking for ways to improve the system that produces these errors
  • The ability to feel comfortable being the interface between business and technology and have excellent analytical skills
  • Joy in sharing your knowledge

Would be a plus:

  • Skills in developing and deploying signatures
  • Experience with improving and automating business processes and managing SaaS applications – preferably as a member of a support desk or application admin
