This is a great opportunity for a People Director with experience of fostering high performance cultures in a dynamic, fast-paced and high-performance business during a crucial and exciting time of growth.

You will be a member of the Streetbees Leadership Team, owning the HR function within the wider People Team at Streetbees with opportunities to solve complex problems and directly impact our ability to achieve our missions.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be a strong People leader and coach to the HR Team, providing both autonomy and direction as needed
  • Developing and fostering an exceptional employee experience that means the best people stay at Streetbees to develop their careers.
  • Setting up HR initiatives such as; Workforce planning, career banding, progression mapping and onboarding processes.
  • Owning and maintaining Learning & Development initiatives for the whole organization
  • You will identify, develop and maintain People initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Own and update the people strategy and delegate initiatives through the organisation
  • Own all people data and analytics, seeking better ways to automate processes where possible
  • Stay up to date with current and future employment and data protection regulations and implement appropriately across the business
  • Work with providers of benefits, payroll and other resources to assure employee needs are met and records and documentation are up to date
  • Do all things with a constant focus of improving the Streetbees culture, upholding the values, and promoting an inclusive and diverse company


What you will bring to the team:

  • 10+ years of experience in a People/HR role, with at least 3 of those in a ‘Lead’ or ‘Head of’ or 'Director' roles.
  • You will have operated as a People Lead or Head of People at a startup or scaleup (Series A-C) during a period of rapid growth.
  • Proven track record of successfully building People/HR function from scratch
  • Previously set up HR initiatives such as; Workforce planning, career banding, progression mapping and onboarding process.
  • Ideally CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Strong organisational, planning, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident self-starter with strong work ethic, able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Project management skills - You are an excellent project manager with the ability to develop, lead and execute complex initiatives.
  • Emotional Intelligence - A knack for managing expectations both internally and externally
  • Hunger for success – You’ll be ambitious and proud of your achievements to date
  • A pro-active nature - You’re a self-starter, who can think fast on their feet and are ready to pivot when required
  • Start-up attitude – You’re comfortable in a rapidly changing environment where the answer is not always clear, working with limited resources and delivering high-quality work to tight timelines.
