Finance Assistant at Zapp

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to provide support to all areas of our Finance department and guidance to our employees. Finance Assistant responsibilities include processing supplier invoices accurately, assisting other departments (such as Procurement and Expansion) with finance queries, assisting with bank payments and providing remittance advices. You will need exceptional organisational skills and an immaculate eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you should have relevant work experience in a fast-paced Finance department. Ultimately, you will ensure our Finance processes run smoothly, contribute to a healthy and happy work environment and are consistently growing and improving.



  • Reconcile supplier ledgers
  • Process invoices, from receipt to ultimate payment
  • Obtain and reconcile supplier statements
  • Complete financial administration (e.g. direct debit mandate forms for signature)
  • Assist Finance Managers with software reporting
  • Ensure high levels of adherence to Finance policies and processes
  • Implement great systems that make life easy for each department and promote Zapp’s leadership principles
  • Address suppliers’ queries (e.g. on payment terms or unpaid invoices)



  • Proven work experience in Finance
  • Exceptionally organised and attentive to detail
  • Ability to accurately record information
  • Excellent track record of numerical/financial ability
  • A passion for making a difference within the company: not just being a cog in a wheel
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Great communication, relationship building and collaboration skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a highly ambiguous environment, able to take responsibility from day one and work independently by following processes and own directions
  • Experience with Xero accounting software highly desirable
  • Potential to sponsor accountancy qualifications for the right candidate
