Hi! 👋

Factorial is reshaping its Benefits product — and we're looking for a leader to own it. This isn't a maintenance role. It's a founding opportunity: to own the vision, develop it, build the foundations for a marketplace of benefits integrations, and ensure the product delivers real value to our clients across all core markets.

The right person could come from Product Management, Engineering Management, or Partner/Business Operations. What matters most is the mindset: entrepreneurial, technically fluent, and deeply cross-functional. That will work as an orchestrator of the different opportunities in different markets and working with multiple stakeholders, partners outside of our organization and an internal product team

Mission

  • Reshape Factorial's Benefits product from the ground up

  • Set the foundations for a scalable benefits marketplace — enabling multiple benefits to serve client needs across all core markets

  • Ensure Benefits is well-connected to the rest of Factorial's platform, fulfilling its full value proposition

  • Lead partner-facing efforts in close collaboration with the Partners team to prioritize opportunities which unblocks revenue for Factorial and that maximize business impact

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and own the product strategy for the Benefits area: vision, roadmap, and key initiatives — deciding what to build, what to integrate, and what to deprioritize

  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities — including knowing when something is not worth pursuing; apply strong analytical thinking to validate ideas before committing resources

  • Build and manage the benefits marketplace: oversee third-party integrations and partner ecosystems, balancing build-vs-integrate decisions with a clear commercial lens

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Partners team to align on the right integrations and ensure we're maximizing partner value and client outcomes

  • Drive engineering execution through influence and alignment: set the direction and priorities for the engineering squad, working closely with Engineering Managers on delivery — without necessarily holding the reporting line

  • Connect the Benefits product across Factorial: Work on including the benefits product in Factorial all in one, ensuring companies can manage their benefits in their company eco system and to day life

  • Set success metrics and own outcomes: define what good looks like for the Benefits product and hold yourself accountable to it

  • Own the end-to-end user experience: ensure every touchpoint in the benefits journey — from discovery to activation to daily use — feels seamless, connected, and delightful; the product experience is never an afterthought

  • Thrive in a builder's range: this role doesn't fit neatly in one box — you may be acting as an engineering manager one week, negotiating with a provider the next, or shaping a business case the week after; you're energized by that variety and comfortable rolling up your sleeves across whatever the moment requires

What We're Looking For

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Proven ability to lead and align multiple stakeholders across functions (Engineering, Partners, Sales, CS, Leadership)

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information

  • Proven ability to lead engineers and external partners functionally — inspiring direction and ownership without direct authority

Business Acumen & Analytical Thinking

  • Strong ability to identify and size business opportunities — and just as importantly, to recognize when an idea doesn't meet the bar

  • Data-driven decision-making: sets hypotheses, defines success metrics, and digs for insights

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: can spot hidden opportunities in workflows, compliance, or pricing and turn them into scalable value

Technical Fluency

  • Comfortable working alongside engineers and technical stakeholders; able to discuss system design, integration architecture, and trade-offs

  • Experience working with third-party integrations, APIs, or marketplace/platform dynamics

  • Familiarity with AI-powered product development is a plus

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Experienced in working closely with a Partners or Business Development team to align product priorities with external relationships

  • Able to bridge commercial needs with technical execution

  • Strong communicator: confident presenting to senior leadership and external partners alike

Strategy & Execution

  • Ability to define a multi-horizon roadmap that balances short-term wins with long-term foundation-building

  • Experience owning a product area end-to-end — from discovery through launch and iteration

  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, hyper-growth environment where priorities evolve

Ideal Background

The title is flexible — we care about skills, not labels. Strong candidates might come from:

  • Senior Product Management (B2B SaaS, ideally with integration/marketplace experience)

  • Engineering Management (with strong product and commercial instincts)

  • Partner / Business Operations (with technical exposure and product ownership experience)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in HR tech or adjacent domains

  • Familiarity with benefits, insurance, or financial products

  • Background in marketplace or platform products

  • Multilingual (Spanish, French, Italian, or German valued)

Compensation 💰

The salary range for this position is between €75,000 (€60,000 fix + €15,000 based on performance, paid quarterly) and €97,500 (€78,000 fix + €19,500 based on performance, paid quarterly). We focus on skills and impact, not years on the clock.
