The Opportunity

Join the team transforming how we support our people at Hinge Health. As a Senior HR Generalist, you will be the operational engine behind our People Business Partner (PBP) team, ensuring seamless execution of the employee lifecycle for our Non-R&D groups. You will solve complex people challenges, from onboarding to offboarding, while acting as the primary liaison between Payroll, IT, and the broader People team. This is an opportunity to build your advising capability, drive operational excellence, and directly impact the employee experience in a mission-driven environment.

What You'll Accomplish

  • In your first 3 months: You will master our core HR systems (Workday, Lattice, CultureAmp) and take full ownership of the end-to-end employee lifecycle for your client groups. You will establish yourself as the primary point of contact for Payroll and IT, ensuring 100% compliance on all employee transactions.

  • In your first 6 months: You will drive operational readiness for key HR cycles (performance reviews, merit cycles) and resolve Tier 2 HR tickets with high autonomy. You will begin coaching managers on simple employee relations scenarios and performance management frameworks.

  • In your first 12 months: You will analyze engagement and turnover trends to inform our bi-annual Talent Insights executive summary. You will partner with PBPs to identify process improvements that increase efficiency and minimize legal risk across the organization.

Who You Are

  • A "Learn-it-all": You proactively build expertise in HR systems and employment law, constantly seeking better ways to execute core processes.

  • A Trust Builder: You communicate clearly and compassionately with employees and managers, handling sensitive data and complex situations with discretion and consistency.

  • Resilient & Detail-Oriented: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing operational trackers and compliance requirements with precision, even when priorities shift.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of human resources experience, with exposure to tech or start-up environments.

  • Strong operational execution skills with experience managing the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, employee changes).

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including experience with Google Sheets or Excel.

  • Direct experience with Workday (or similar enterprise HRIS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting HR teams with data audits, compensation frameworks, and workforce planning.

  • Foundational knowledge of employment law and experience handling basic employee relations scenarios.

  • Proficiency in Lattice and/or CultureAmp.

  • Relationship-oriented mindset with a history of collaborative cross-functional work (e.g., with Legal, IT, Payroll).
