In this high-impact role, you will navigate complex healthcare data landscapes to architect scalable solutions that drive product innovation and operational excellence. You will operate with a high degree of independence, guiding expert engineers through ambiguity to deliver 99.9% data reliability and HIPAA-compliant governance. If you are a strategic leader capable of piloting technical expeditions through "unexpected snowstorms" and translating business goals into robust technical execution, this is your opportunity to shape the future of digital MSK care.
What You'll Accomplish
In your first 3 months: You will take command of the Data Engineering Verticals Roadmap, establishing operational objectives that align technical execution with high-level business goals for Data Science and Product Growth. You will audit current architecture and set the strategic direction for critical scaling milestones.
In your first 6 months: You will build and scale a high-performing engineering organization, hiring key talent and establishing career pathways that grow future leaders. You will drive the delivery of complex vertical solutions, meeting all critical scaling milestones with autonomy.
In your first 9 months: You will oversee the architectural evolution of our data ecosystem, implementing advanced ETL/ELT processes that achieve 99.9% data availability and reliability for downstream teams.
In your first year: You will institutionalize robust data governance and security frameworks—including HIPAA compliance—that serve as company-wide standards for quality and risk reduction. You will spearhead our AI/LLM data strategy, architecting data marts that position Hinge Health for the next generation of AI-driven analytics.
