About the Role

The Content Platform team builds the shared systems that help Hinge Health create, manage, enrich, localize, publish, search, and deliver content across treatment experiences. The platform supports assets such as video, audio, images, captions, and text used by applications including Phoenix, Carehub, and onboarding experiences.

The team is extending the platform to make media and content workflows more scalable, observable, and self-service. This includes automated enrichment, localization, quality validation, asset lifecycle management, and AI-assisted content generation for exercise therapy and other treatment experiences.

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for the next generation of media and AI content pipelines. You will work across service boundaries to turn complex content operations into reliable, reusable platform capabilities.

You will design and ship systems that coordinate media processing, AI-generated audio and video assets, captions, localization, publishing, and quality control. You will help shape the platform architecture, make difficult trade-offs explicit, and build mechanisms that allow partner teams and content creators to move faster with less operational risk.

This is a hands-on Staff Engineer role. You will write production code, lead architecture and design reviews, participate in operational response, and coach engineers toward stronger technical ownership.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Deliver large projects that introduce new product capabilities, often acting as a maintainer for key code repositories.

  • Break down complex problems into manageable tasks, ensuring steady and predictable delivery while identifying and resolving root causes of incidents.

  • Collaborate with your team to roadmap and execute ambitious technical strategies, balancing short-term and long-term trade-offs.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers, providing thoughtful code reviews and real-time pairing.

  • Integrate and leverage AI technologies to automate processes and enhance product features, contributing to Hinge Health’s AI-driven care platform.

  • Proactively improve the maintainability, availability, and performance of the team’s features, and contribute to the team’s overall architecture and developer tooling.

  • Communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical partners, and document solutions for future reference.
