The Opportunity

Hinge Health is transforming MSK care for millions of people—and as a newly public company, the stakes have never been higher. Every earnings call, product launch, and media engagement is an opportunity to shape how investors, employees, and the market understand our mission and momentum.

We need a Corporate Communications Manager who can translate complex business strategy and financial performance into narratives that land with precision and impact. You'll be the storytelling engine behind our corporate reputation—partnering with Investor Relations, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to craft communications that move the needle on share of voice, stakeholder confidence, and internal alignment. If you thrive in high-stakes environments where your words shape perception and drive outcomes, this role is for you.

What You'll Accomplish

In your first 3 months:

  • Build deep fluency in Hinge Health's business model, financial narrative, and competitive positioning by shadowing earnings calls and executive briefings

  • Establish trust with key stakeholders—IR, executive leadership, and cross-functional partners—by delivering on quick-win projects like press releases or internal comms

  • Audit current communications workflows and media relationships, identifying gaps and opportunities to elevate our corporate storytelling

In your first 6 months:

  • Lead end-to-end communications strategy for at least one major milestone (e.g., earnings announcement, product launch, or partnership reveal), driving measurable media coverage and message pull-through

  • Expand Hinge Health's media footprint by securing top-tier placements in business or healthcare outlets

  • Develop and refine executive messaging frameworks that translate financial performance and strategy into compelling, accessible narratives for diverse audiences

In your first year:

  • Own the communications strategy for quarterly earnings cycles, acting as the go-to expert for business and financial storytelling

  • Increase Hinge Health's share of voice through strategic media campaigns and proactive thought leadership

  • Build a reputation internally as the "narrative architect"—someone who can take complex, high-stakes information and turn it into stories that inspire employees, reassure investors, and engage the market

Who You Are

You're a strategic storyteller who knows that great communication isn't just about crafting beautiful sentences—it's about understanding the business, anticipating risks, and delivering outcomes that matter. You've operated in fast-paced, high-stakes environments (think: publicly traded companies, pre-IPO startups, or agencies serving major brands) and you know how to balance executional excellence with strategic foresight.

  • Hustle: Resourceful and scrappy—you get things done even under tight timelines and proactively identify risks before they become problems

  • Effective Communication: You use data and insights to develop recommendations and tailor messages for maximum impact across diverse audiences

  • Lead at All Levels: You effectively guide and motivate cross-functional teams, building trust through consistent delivery and transparent communication

  • Learn-it-All: You stay ahead of industry trends, proactively seek feedback, and continuously uplevel your craft

  • Accountability: You act in the company's best interest, manage crises with confidence and clarity, and deliver on commitments

Basic Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, public affairs, or media relations (ideally with exposure to financial/business communications or publicly traded companies)

  • Proven track record independently leading communications strategies for major campaigns, product launches, or milestone moments (e.g., earnings, acquisitions, IPO)

  • Media relations expertise: Strong relationships with business, financial, or healthcare media and a track record of securing top-tier placements

  • Executive partnership experience: You've worked directly with C-suite executives on high-stakes communications and can develop executive-ready materials with minimal feedback

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills: Ability to translate complex business, financial, and technical topics into clear, inspiring narratives across formats (press releases, blog posts, bylines, talking points, FAQs)

  • Agency management experience: Comfortable managing external PR agencies and owning workstreams end-to-end with minimal oversight

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience supporting Investor Relations or communications for a publicly traded company (especially in healthcare, digital health, or high-growth tech)

  • Familiarity with earnings cycles, financial reporting, and regulatory communications (e.g., 8-Ks, proxy statements, earnings scripts)

  • Background in crisis communications or issues management, with a track record of navigating sensitive or high-stakes situations

  • Existing relationships with healthcare or business media

  • Experience with internal communications and change management, especially in high-growth or matrixed organizations

  • Passion for healthcare transformation and mission-driven work—bonus if you've worked in digital health
