Retire the ERP
Light exists to replace factory-era ERPs with software that feels alive. Our Smart Financial Platform gives modern, global companies superpowers - automated accounting, real-time reporting, and financial flows that move at the speed of the business.
We build with our customers, ship fast, and obsess over craft. In a short time, Light has gone from idea to the operating core for leading companies like Lovable, Legora, and Fuse Energy.
We're an early team defining a new software category. Think engineers who love debits and credits, designers who care about reconciliation states, and operators who treat finance as a product. If you're excited to modernise how companies run money, you're in the right place.
Backed by world-class investors including Balderton and Atomico and advised by industry titans, we're building category-defining products with the freedom to ship ambitiously and own outcomes. Come help us make Light the global default for next-gen finance.
About the role
Light doesn't implement Light alone anymore. Accounting and consulting firms, from regional champions to global names, are building Light implementation practices. Someone has to make sure those practices deliver to Light's standard on every deal. That's you.
You'll be one of the first Partner Solutions Architects at Light, sitting between our partners, their clients and our own implementation team. Most of your week goes on running a portfolio of partner-led implementations. You know which deals are on track and which are drifting. You know whether each partner has the people and capacity to take on the next one, and you're the person Light goes to for an answer on any partner deal. You also get new partner consultants trained and certified. When a partner hits something new, hard, or beyond their capacity, you step in and do the work yourself.
This is not a training role. We want a consultant with commercial instincts, someone who has delivered finance implementations, can hold their own with a Financial Controller, and can manage a book of delivery the way a good account manager manages a book of revenue. Your audience is partner implementation teams, the leaders who run them, and their clients' Controllers, Finance Directors and CFOs. They're senior, technical and short on time, and they expect you to tell them straight when something won't work.
Key responsibilities
Own partner delivery across your portfolio
Check every deal through Light's delivery gates: did the partner get through it, on time, to the right standard?
Run weekly check-ins with each partner on progress, blockers, risks and upcoming go-lives
Track partner capacity and staffing: who they have, who's certified, what they can take on next, and when
Build and own the partner delivery forecast so Sales can always tell a customer yes, with a start date we can stand behind
Represent Light on partner deals from day one: run kickoffs with the partner and client, and drive data collection until the partner team is ready to take over
Spot deliveries going off track before the client does, and intervene
Report clearly to Light leadership on partner delivery health, capacity and quality, so nobody ever has to ask "who owns this deal?"
Get partner teams trained and certified
Bring new partner consultants through Light's enablement path, from self-paced curriculum and instructor-led sessions through to certification
Schedule the training, track progress and hold the certification bar firm
Teach clearly, whether the room holds a partner associate or a client CFO
Feed what you learn on live deals back into the curriculum, the playbooks and the product
Step in as the expert when partners can't
Take on consulting work directly when a partner meets something new or complex, or runs out of capacity: a consolidation edge case, an unusual migration, a tricky entity structure
Coach partners on turning finance requirements into platform design: chart of accounts, entity structure, consolidation logic, reporting
Know Light well enough to demo any workflow credibly and answer the hard configuration and accounting questions partners bring you
Experience & qualifications
Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
5+ years in finance transformation, ERP implementation or finance advisory: Big 4, a finance-focused boutique, or a vendor-side professional services team (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday Financials)
You've done the work: hands-on roles on real implementations, not "I've used an ERP"
You're fluent in accounting and can hold your own with a Controller on multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, accruals, and statutory vs management reporting. A qualified accountant is a plus, not a requirement
You've managed a portfolio, not just a project: many moving deals, many stakeholders, one clear view of where everything stands
Commercial or client-facing experience beyond delivery is a strong signal, for example account management, client services, or a pre-sales or sales role
You're highly organised and analytical. You like a good forecast, keep clean data, and spot the deal that's quietly going wrong
You're a strong communicator and a confident presenter, and you've trained or coached other consultants at some point in your career
You work well through people who don't report to you, and build trust with partner leadership and client finance teams through clear communication and consistent follow-through
You use AI tools daily, and have specific opinions on where they help in delivery work and where they don't
Fluent English; additional European languages a plus, German especially
Bonus: a go-live with your name on it as the accountable lead; multi-jurisdiction experience (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAPs); experience at or with an implementation partner; experience losing a customer or missing a go-live and learning from it
