Mission

At Neko Health, our mission is to deliver proactive healthcare for all—empowering members to take control of their health through cutting-edge technology and compassionate care.

Role Purpose

The Area Director will oversee the performance, growth, and experience delivery across multiple Neko Health clinics in New York. This senior leadership role combines strategic operational management with medical quality oversight and a relentless focus on member experience.

Reporting to the Head of Markets, U.S., the Area Director ensures operational excellence, clinical compliance (in collaboration with Lead Doctors), and strong financial performance across all clinics in New York. The role is pivotal in scaling Neko’s innovative care model while maintaining the brand’s high standards of hospitality and clinical integrity.

What You’ll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months

Clinic & Member Experience

  • Ensure each clinic consistently delivers a seamless, premium member experience aligned with Neko Health’s service standards and brand promise.

  • Lead regional initiatives to elevate service quality based on member feedback, NPS insights, and front line observations.

  • Foster a hospitality-driven culture where empathy, professionalism, and precision define every member interaction.

  • Oversee the physical and experiential standards of all clinics—ensuring consistency in ambiance, cleanliness, and overall presentation.

Medical Quality & Compliance

  • Partner with Lead Doctors to uphold Neko’s clinical quality standards and ensure adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement in medical delivery and inspection readiness across all sites.

  • Serve as a bridge between clinic operations and the Medical Excellence team, ensuring best practices are embedded regionally.

  • Mentor and develop Lead Doctors and Clinic Leads, building their leadership capabilities and accountability for quality outcomes.

Operational & Financial Performance

  • Own regional operational KPIs and full P&L accountability, ensuring sustainable and efficient performance across the East Coast portfolio.

  • Implement scalable operational frameworks, cost controls, and workflow efficiencies to optimize clinic throughput and resource utilization.

  • Oversee workforce planning and staffing models in collaboration with central teams to align with patient demand and business objectives.

  • Contribute to regional business strategy, including market expansion planning, new clinic launches, and network optimization.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Clinic Leads and Lead Doctors across all assigned clinics.

  • Build a strong culture of accountability, communication, and collaboration across distributed teams.

  • Act as the primary regional liaison between clinic teams and central functions—including Customer Support, Facilities, Staffing, Engineering, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Demand Planning.

  • Champion cross-functional alignment to ensure smooth execution and a unified member and employee experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading multi-site, multi-state operations in a consumer-facing, premium service-driven business (e.g., wellness, hospitality, or retail).

  • Demonstrated success managing large, distributed teams with a focus on both service quality and operational performance.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience owning KPIs, budgets, and P&L outcomes.

  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational leadership and executional excellence.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and change leadership skills, with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
