About the Role
Deliveroo and Uber Eats give Zapp access to millions of customers beyond our own app, and the way we show up on those platforms directly shapes how the brand grows. We already have an established presence on both. As Director, Founder's Office (Marketplaces), your job is to take full ownership of what exists, raise the commercial standard and drive meaningful, sustained growth.
You will define the strategy, own the platform relationships, set the targets and hold yourself accountable for channel revenue and margin. The right person has operated in a senior marketplace commercial role, knows how Deliveroo and Uber Eats work from the inside, and is used to taking ownership of an established channel and driving it to a materially higher level of performance.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy and Performance
Own Zapp's marketplace strategy across Deliveroo and Uber Eats: how we show up on each platform, what we sell and how we price to win
Build a clear view of the performance opportunity by platform, category and customer segment, and use that to set ambitious but grounded targets
Define the range and pricing architecture for each platform, balancing growth ambition with margin discipline and brand consistency
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Zapp's presence and reach on existing platforms, and evaluate new platform partnerships where relevant
Platform Relationships and Commercial Terms
Own the senior commercial relationships with Deliveroo and Uber Eats, acting as Zapp's primary contact and ensuring we are getting the best possible terms, visibility and platform support
Negotiate commission structures, promotional terms and visibility agreements, driving the best commercial outcomes for Zapp
Manage platform SLAs and operational standards, working with Operations to ensure marketplace orders are fulfilled to the same standard as direct Zapp orders
Stay ahead of platform product changes, algorithm updates and policy shifts, and adapt Zapp's approach before they impact performance
Commercial Performance
Own marketplace P&L: tracking revenue, contribution margin, customer acquisition cost and retention by platform, and driving continuous improvement
Build and maintain a live performance dashboard using Zapp's internal tooling that gives the leadership team real-time visibility on channel health
Run structured tests on ranging, pricing, promotions and creative to identify what drives performance and scale what works
Set clear performance targets and hold the channel to them, escalating and resolving issues without waiting to be asked
Cross-Functional Execution
Work with Category Management to ensure the marketplace range is commercially optimised and operationally viable
Partner with Marketing to align marketplace promotions with broader brand campaigns and ensure a consistent customer experience
Coordinate with Product and Technology to build the internal capabilities that make marketplace operations more efficient and scalable over time
What We're Looking For
6+ years in marketplace commercial roles or business development, with direct experience managing Deliveroo, Uber Eats or equivalent platform relationships at scale
A track record of driving revenue growth through marketplace channels, with clear commercial performance delivered
Strong analytical skills: comfortable owning a P&L, building performance models and extracting insight from channel data
A self-directed executor who takes ownership of an established channel, raises the commercial standard and drives performance without needing a team or a playbook
Comfortable with ambiguity and energised by the challenge of driving step-change performance improvement in a fast-moving environment
A genuine interest in applying AI and automation to improve channel performance, reporting and optimisation workflows
Familiarity with Looker or other BI tools is a strong advantage
Background in quick commerce, food delivery, grocery or e-commerce is strongly preferred
