The Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Facilities Manager for the Operations Team to provide high-quality hands-on problem solving skills and drive the day-to-day efficiency of our Fulfilment Centres (FCs). You will take ownership of our 11 London Fulfilment Centres, acting as the first line of response for all facility issues across the network, driving same-day resolution on critical faults and maintaining every site to a consistently high standard. You will own the planned and reactive maintenance programme, manage third-party contractors and any supporting facilities staff, and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements. This position requires strong practical skills, a bias for action, and the ability to manage a fast-moving workload and budget across multiple sites with minimal supervision.

Here's What You'd Be Doing

• Own the facilities function across all 11 FCs, responding to issues within agreed SLAs and prioritising same-day resolution for critical faults

• Carry out and, where appropriate, delegate hands-on repairs and general maintenance across all sites, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and building works

• Set and manage the planned preventative maintenance schedule and budget across all 11 sites, keeping the open backlog at zero

• Source, brief, and manage third-party contractors for specialist works, holding them accountable to agreed scope, quality, timelines and cost

• Maintain all 11 FCs to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation, with every site visitor ready at all times

• Conduct regular site inspections across all FCs, producing punch lists and ensuring all items are closed out within agreed timeframes

• Ensure all sites meet statutory Health and Safety requirements, including fire safety, COSHH, and risk assessments, keeping all certification and documentation current

• Lead facilities input on new FC openings, managing snag lists, coordinating fit-out works, and commissioning facilities on time and to budget

• Work closely with FC Managers and the Senior Central Operations Manager to resolve facility issues before they affect operations, providing weekly updates on open items, spend, and contractor performance

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or senior Facilities Associate/Maintenance Technician, ideally covering multiple sites

• Strong hands-on practical skills: comfortable carrying out general repairs directly and stepping in where needed

• Demonstrable experience managing third-party contractors and budgets, holding them to quality, timeline and cost standards

• Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements in a commercial or warehouse environment

• Highly organised with a strong bias for action: able to diagnose, prioritise, and move fast across multiple sites with minimal supervision

• Clear communicator: able to brief contractors, escalate issues promptly, and give concise updates to senior management.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced scale-up environment where processes are still being built

• Relevant trade or facilities qualifications (City and Guilds, NEBOSH, IOSH, F Gas)
